Why buy a modular home? |
In 2000, one out of every six new single-family homes built was a manufactured home. So is a manufactured home right for you? Consider the following: |
These homes are absolutely beautiful, yet cost significantly less than comparable site-built homes. |
The homes are factory constructed and government inspected. Modern assembly line construction in a climate controlled environment provides many more advantages over site-built construction than simply a large cost savings. The structure is safe from any weather damage (wet weather on a site-built home can soak lumber and is a major factor in the formation of mold that can cause serious health problems). It's also subject to frequent inspections, and is built by professional teams with constant oversight. State-of-the-industry design, engineering and fabrication techniques are employed. Modular homes must meet IRC (international residential code) requirements. Double and Single wide homes must meet HUD (housing and urban development) code requirements. |
Quality construction. Manufactured homes have superior rough-construction characteristics — framing in particular. The lumber is cut much more accurately; assembly is done with pneumatic nail guns and there is much more use of bonding adhesives. All of the homes we sell have 2x6 side wall construction. In short these homes are really strong. Additionally, these homes feature high-quality, durable synthetic materials, particularly on exterior siding and surfaces, that are long lasting and require very little maintenance. |
A wide range of buyer options are available at competitive prices; choose from high pitched roofs, taped and textured sheet rock interiors, sky lights, fireplaces, carpet upgrades, vinyl flooring, counter tops, and brand name kitchen appliances. |
From order date to move in date is typically only 60 to 90 days (depending on current demand). |
Warranty. All homes are under factory warranty for 12 months. There are also various company warranties depending on the products chosen and used in construction. For example vinyl siding, 40 year shingles, appliances, etc. |
